Sidebar Issue
-
Hello everyone,
I’m having trouble hiding the sidebar on my website in WordPress. I want the sidebar to appear on all other pages and posts, but not on the homepage. How can I make the sidebar appear on other pages/posts except homepage?
I’ve tried using CSS and editing the theme files, but I can’t seem to get it to work. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can achieve this?
Thanks in advance for your help!”

I don’t see any sidebar on your homepage.

Hi George Appiah,
I want sidebar to appear on other pages/posts except homepage.
You can easily do this in your GeneratePress theme’s settings: there’s no need to write any custom CSS code.
1) Configure the default setting to show the right, left or both sidebars on ALL pages and posts in APPEARANCE => CUSTOMIZE => LAYOUTS => SIDEBARS
2) For the homepage (or any other page that you do not want to show the sidebar), change the sidebar setting in the POST/PAGE editor (see screenshot below).
I’ll recommend you invest a little time to glance over all the configuration options of your theme and any plugins you use, so you’ll know what features they come with and not waste a lot of time searching for solutions that may be right under your nose.
Good luck!

Thank you so much George 🙏
