Cannot activate plugin on a subdirectory

Hi, I cannot create the connection between Woocommerce and PayPal, this is in a subdirectory where there is another WordPress installation. The PayPal bridge/plugin creates the API on PayPal website but not webhooks. If I can create the webhooks manually, and establish a manual connection on WordPress/Woocommerce but the PayPal button won’t show up on any webpage. I have two versions of my website but I don’t use any multisite plugins. The website domain contains an English version, where this plugin is installed and works as expected, but there is a subdirectory/folder where there is a translated Spanish version of the website, here is where the plugin cannot be connected. I installed another PayPal plugin on the Spanish version and the connection works, but I am hesitant to use it because is not official from woocommerce. I appreciate any advice you can provide. thanks
