Comment section disappeared for part of site

you might need to contact the original developer of your theme to ask about the template used for articles. you coulld look in the theme’s files to see if you can find the template used for articles to see if anything has changed. be sure the setting for articles (if it is a custom post type) still supports comments. (volunteers osn this forum do not have a way to access the files in a custom theme).
since you mentioned you already unplugged (deactivated?) all plugins, i will assume the issue is not related to any setting of Elementor plugin

I have a custom built wordpress site which has two types of posts, articles and blog posts (The Iconoclast). Suddenly, the comment section disappeared entirely from the articles, but not the posts. I tired installing new comment software wpdiscuz, but it would only work on posts and wouldn’t allow me to add articles or other types of pages. I tried unplugging all my plug-ins, but nothing helped. I tried restoring an earlier version – nothing.
Please help!
