• Hi, as I installed the plugin, all of my costumers from the past displayed as unsubscribed.
As each of these users try to register to the newsletter form which I created, it send them confirmation email. (so far, so good)

After they approve themselves through the mail, their status remain on ‘unconfirmed’ users under the right list.

The status was supposed to be changed to ‘subscribed’ after approval the confirmation mail.

    What can cause the problem?

P.S – new users which not purchased through the website before can register to newsletter without any problem and their status turns to ‘Subscribed’.

    Hey @edant,

As I understand, all of these subscribers were added as “Unsubscribed” after you installed the plugin, right? Can you please let us know if they’re WordPress Users or WooCommerce Customers and then they tried to register to a new list by subscribing through your form?

I’d assume you’re referring to subscribers added to the WooCommerce Customers list, as you mentioned “new users which not purchased through the website before…”.

If they were previously added to another list, it could be their global status remains “Unconfirmed” according to the settings for this specific list.

Can you please let me know if the MailPoet Settings > WooCommerce tab > Subscribe old WooCommerce customers option is enabled or not?

    Hi Bruna,

    Thank you for your reply.
To your first question – all of the customers which bought from my website were added as “Unsubscribed” after I installed the plugin.
I’m talking about WooCommerce customers which trying to register to a new list through a form in Elementor.

These users never added to any other list before.

“Subscribe old WooCommerce customers” is disabled.

    Regards,
    Edan

    Hi @edant,

I’m talking about WooCommerce customers which trying to register to a new list through a form in Elementor.

Thanks for sharing more details about this.

I suspect this could be related to how our API used by Elementor updates the subscribers’ statuses in the plugin.

Could you please test if subscribing a WooCommerce customer who was previously Unsubscribed through a MailPoet form causes the same issue?

    Hi Bruna,

All of my users haven’t subscribed yet, so I don’t really have users which unsubscribed themselfs.
Still, I tried it on my user – same results.
Only new users have the ability to subscribe.
    Is there any solution?
I’m eager to use your plugin, but right now it disabled in my website because I can’t use it with my existing users. (my website’s customers usually are returning customers, so it’s very important)
