• Hi!

I noticed shortcodes doesn’t work in Full Site Editing templates. After a search I found a post on a support forum confirming shortcodes doesn’t work in templates. They work in pages/posts though. This was nearly two years ago.

I wonder if there’s any information on if this will be fixed and if so when?

    Thank you in advance

I was able to insert a shortcode block with a shortcode in it to my single template, page template, archive template and footer template part using the “site editor”. I used twenty twenty three theme + WordPress version 6.1.1. The shortcode was used to display a contact form. The contact form is displayed in the places I expected.

Hi and thank you for the reply.

I failed to provide more detail on this so I’ll do it now.

I’m trying to get Advanced custom fields (free version) shortcodes to work in templates. They work fine if added directly in a page or post with the shortcode block, but I can’t make them work in templates using the shortcode block.

I also tried with a shortcode from another plugin and it wouldn’t either so I was perhaps too quick to assume it isn’t working.

I’ve tried with Twenty Twenty Three on WordPress 6.1.1 and 6.2 RC2.

    Thank you in advance.
