I installed 3.01 and am noticing the CGI error is now coming up. I’ve heard about this with previous versions, but not for 3.01. I’m running IIS 6. Any suggestions?

  • Have you gone through all of the usual steps:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress?

    – increasing the available memory?

WP Google Analytics seems to have been the culprit (although I also had to go back to the default theme). Thanks. I will be more careful in the future.
