Slow & shutdown the website
-
Hello @2winfactor
I’ve installed this on LiteSpeed Server/cPanel also Nginx Cloudways!
I’ve used two different builders, Bricks & Breakdance, with the shortcode provided.
Both sites perform the same, Killed the website entirely nothing is working.. can’t navigate if using presto player.According to my feedback and your request, I’m willing to give this another chance. Can you please let me know what information is needed?
Note, If you are asking for the site link, please let me know how to do that privately. I don’t want to share the site publicly.
Kind Regards

@m7mad
Thanks for the update.Further, we are not allowed to give support for the Pro version here due to WP.org rules. Could you open up a support ticket?
Are you kidding me now?
This is not a pro problem. This is not related at all to Pro,
check my presto player feedback; you will know what this is about.
This is for the current free version.Hi Muh,
Thanks for reaching out. The only way to provide a link is to use this field in the support form:
https://share.getcloudapp.com/6qubBwE1This will let us see the issue and get this solved for you.
Hello, thx again for reaching out.
A short link will direct you to the page with presto in it (end of the page).
https://cutt.ly/74rkw7J
Another issue I face with presto on the site, If click to play the site goes with the error:
Error establishing a database connection
P.S.
I couldn’t find a way to add the link u attached in the SS. Perhaps this could work when only opening a thread.
The short link can be modified from my backend. Find it the better way. Thanks for the helpful link. I’m not able to see that issue – for some reason the video plays for me without any issues. Are you saying when you click play on the site, the site reloads with an error? Can you let me know what exact steps are needed to replicate this issue?
I’ve uploaded mp4 video, please check now…
Try to play the video, while it’s playing, refresh the page or navigate.
Please do it more than 2, 3 times…Thanks! I was able to find the issue. It looks like it’s the encoding of the mp4 file. For some reason it’s making a lot of small requests for parts of the file, very quickly. I made a short video:
https://share.getcloudapp.com/5zuj1985
You can see in this video, this is the mp4 file played directly from the browser (not with Presto Player). These requests are quickly exploding the memory of the browser tab.In order to fix this, you will want to web optimize the video and re-upload:
https://prestoplayer.com/docs/how-to-optimize-video-for-smooth-website-playback-using-handbrake/
Having a properly encoded mp4 file should solve this issue. You will want to do this no matter what as this issue will happen with our without Presto Player.I’ve done this previously with a different video.
But again, I’ll follow all the needed to fix this issue.
I’ve optimized the video now with 1080p Video Preset.
Can you please re-check?Yes, that looks to have solved the issue. Are you still seeing any issues on your end?
No didn’t solve the issue!
I can’t navigate too. Just once I hit the play button, I try to refresh or navigate.. takes a while to load then the error:
Error establishing a database connectionHmmm… I’m not seeing the issue for some reason. Could you try temporarily turning of “enable ajax requests for progress integrations”? You can do this under Presto Player > Settings.
https://share.getcloudapp.com/RBurvrND
That is the only requests we are making to the server when the video plays. We send a request ever 10 percent of video watched, so perhaps your webserver cannot process the requests.Okay,
something weird just happened with all.
I’ve disabled “enable ajax requests…”
I’ve tested the page, and again the error occurred.
I’ve used different browsers with no admin access to the website, just as a visitor, played the video, and navigated the website without any issues. The above happened with “enable ajax requests for progress integrations” disabled & enabled.
Went to the browser with admin access to the website. The issue immediately happened!!
And this affects the other visitors too! If, as Admin or login to the site, tried to play the video. The problem appears… as a visitor, I’ve tested more than 3 times on each browser without login access. All worked smoothly!Hmmm… so something is only happening when logged in. Are you able to send your site health information? You can find this under Tools > Site Health > Info > Copy site info to clipboard. This might give me a better picture of the install and find out what could be causing the issue.
Additionally, do you have access to your server error logs? Perhaps there is an error being logged there that would provide a clue as to the issue.
Tried the Log debug true:
Here’s the error I get:

Connection refusedThe log is too long: here is the error one of each line:
