Custom Fields Option
-
Hello,
Do we have the option to change the verbiage of user fields?
For example if we wanted to change Subscriber ID/Reference or Company to “License Number”
If we can not do that can we add a field for “License Number”?
The licesnse number is a key identifier for the import we are going to use.

Hi, can you let me know which fields in the plugin you would like to edit? This will help me understand your issue further.
Thank you.
The memebers for the site will wave state license numbers. I was thinking to change the “Company” Field to “License” or Maybe the Subscriber ID/Reference field to “License” since we would not be using either of those fields. If that is not possible could we ADD a custom field “License”
Here is a screenshot – Does this help?

Hi, I think your best option might be to use the form builder addon. This allows you to customize the member’s profile.

Let me know if this helps you.
Kind regards.
Thank you – that works great. A follow up question – where/how can I edit the email that is sent upon registration to the user?
Hi, go to WP Membership -> Settings -> Email Settings tab. Let me know if this is what you are talking about.
Kind regards.
Yes that one – thank you kindly!
You are most welcome 🙂 Enjoy the plugin.

Sorry – I do have a recurring issue that I have asked about before. When a WP admin goes to the page to preview pages that are set to member only, we still get a message that we need to be logged in to view the content.
How can we correct this since it is still an issue?
Hi, please check the following documentation.

Yes we have done this but still is not working correctly for wp site admins
Hi, something in your site is probably interfering with our addon. You might like to try the following troubleshooting steps to see if it fixes your issue.
Kind regards.
Thank you. It’s is not a conflict per se rather we need to do the following so guidance is appreciated.
The plugin only protects the post “content” as opposed to blocking the whole page somehow (which is pretty much impossible for plugins to do). We would need to add custom code to the site that uses the plugin functions to ensure the entire template is being blocked. This can be in a couple ways.
Conditions functions that we can use to prevent access? Helper functions?
A lot of people use custom post types and custom fields within template files. This would be useful to be able to block everything – otherwise the plugin does not help for that type of portected content.
Thanks for any assistance you can provide – I will keep looking as well.
Hi, we currently have two options you can test.
1- The following addon can be used for custom post type https://simple-membership-plugin.com/simple-membership-addon-better-custom-post-type-protection/
2- The following addon can be used to protect fully the page/post https://simple-membership-plugin.com/full-page-protection-addon-simple-membership/
Let me know if the information above helps you in any way.
Kind regards.
Yes this does help. Is there any way to “style” the page that states “You need to login to view this content. Please Login. Not a Member? Join Us”
I don’t see that it is a specific page – just a message that shows up on the page/post that is trying to be accessed.
