Hi, I just installed wordpress via fantastico using hostgator.com. I’ve very new to this and am trying to work through http://codex.wordpress.org/First_Steps_With_WordPress those instructions, but for life of me I cannot find my way to the WordPress admin page! I hate being stuck at the very start… Can anyone shed any light on where I need to go?

Add /wp-admin/ to the end of wherever you installed WordPress. For example:

yourdomain.com/wp-admin/

yourdomain.com/wordpress/wp-admin/

yourdomain.com/blog/wp-admin/

etc.

I did this, however it just comes up with “server not found”

Nevermind, something magical happened and now it works!

More than likely, your new domain had not yet propagated to your ISP, which can take up to 48 hours.
