Author name URL not directing to posts

    Hi,

    The link from the administrator’s author posts isn’t working, even though the guest authors do. If I turn this plugin off, the admin author posts suddenly links fine, so I know something is going on.

    As mentioned our guest user links are fine, and it’s just the link from the admin. So I went and looked at authors and it shows:

    (Name) (User) Vickj – (URL) Vicky-1234 – (posts) 268

    But if you go to author profile it shows:

    (Name) Vickj – (URL) Writing-Style

    So for some reason the authors and author profile are showing different URLs. The URL Vicky-1234 is the admin username.

    When you click on the author name on the front end, it takes you to the URL Vicky-1234, but no posts can be seen, with it saying ‘The page can’t be found.’ However, if I turn off PublishPress Authors the posts are suddenly there at the same URL.

    Can you please help?

    Hi,

    In case someone else has the same issue, the mapping was going wrong, I could change the URLs to match, but as soon as I hit update it reverted back again.

    Decided to delete the admin user and created a new one. No problems with this. Think the mapping got corrupted a few weeks back when changing nickname.
