• Hi,

I am not sure if this has been reported but I have seen it with two of my sites that I have updated to 3.0.1. The feature didn’t have a problem in 3.0.

    1) When the ADMIN is logged into the site, clicking on the PAGES link UNDER DASHBOARD (on left side of panel) and click on Edit the front interface comes up instead with a 404 error. I verified this with two different versions.

    2) I have a user who has the ROLE of EDITOR and can log into the ADMIN console of my site and edit a page. But they can’t save the changes on the page. To test I created a new user on one of my 3.0 sites and made them with the same permission. No issue.

At least two of the bugs I found in 3.0.1, not sure if anyone else encountered these.

Just wanted to pass it along.

I’ve seen this problem before. It’s usually caused by a plugin or theme functions conflict, or corrupt system files.

Try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Default theme (WordPress 1.5 – 2.9.2) or the Twenty Ten theme (WordPress 3.0 and higher) to rule-out a theme-specific issue.

If that does not resolve the issue, try downloading WordPress again and delete then replace your copies of the /wp-admin/ and /wp-includes/ directories with fresh copies from the download.
