Thoughts on Multisite?

    I’ve been reading a lot about using the multisite feature and was wondering what other peoples opinions are. I have three separate WordPress installs on my host, one at the top level, and two in sub-directories. Would it be worth it to turn this into a multisite? Would I have to reinstall all three blogs? Thanks in advanced for any comments on this.

    I would say so.

    Would I have to reinstall all three blogs?

    The best way, I think, would be to update the one in root (top level) to 3.0 and convert it to MultiSite, and then export the subdirectory blogs and import them into the new multisite 🙂

    Will you be running on a Windows/IIS server or be Unix based? There seem be issues with running WordPress Multisite on IIS/Windows.

    Thanks for the replies! My web server is running Linux so no problem there. I like what you suggested ipstenu.
