Old WP site content reappears in Weglot translation list

After several attempts to exclude deleted or edited content passages from the Weglot translations lists, that content resurfaces in my Weglot translations. I’ve been rigorous in reducing text content (primarily for clarity, but also to keep below the 2,000 word limit).

I’m inexperienced in managing WordPress and I’m wondering if there’s a maintenance task I’m missing that would scrub the WP databse of this old content, but haven’t found anything like that. I have run most of the WP Optimization routines, but no change.

It’s very annoying that this content keeps reappearing in Weglot, even though it’s no longer externally visible on the website.

Should I just delete the current Weglot translation and start afresh (after I’m finished with the current edit list for the website)?
