Hi – I’ve been searching for an hour now on how to do this. I want to have one page that just lists all my category titles out. (Preferably in columns and responsive.) So the page would just have list of titles (category 1, category 2, category 3, etc…)
Then these would link to a page with that category.
I can’t figure out how to do it with short code and not sure if the widget extension will work for this in a full page. (I think it is made for the sidebar?)
Is there a way to do this, or do I need to buy an extension or template (cMap) maybe that will allow me to do this? If you could let me know which ones I need that would be great!
I hope that makes sense. My site is a community directory, so it is all organization listings and we are currently using the Divi template if that matters at all.
Thanks so much for any ideas, help!

Sorry to hear you had trouble finding the right solution.! Based on the description of you requirements: I recommend the Enhanced Categories add-on:

You can use this with any of the templates; premium or the included free templates. Though if you decide to upgrade to a premium template, I recommend disabling the category dropdown filter feature and using the features in the Enhanced Categories add-on instead.

You can also make this list manually too. You can copy-paste the “View” link for each category on the Categories admin page.

I hope this helps; please let me know.

    Hi Steven,

    Thanks for the quick response!
I purchased and installed the Enhanced Categories extension. So far it is exactly what I was asking for! Love the responsive list too. Much better than creating manually.

I think I would like to use one of the premium templates because of all the features and I don’t like how the free template looks.
It’s kinda hard to tell from the examples which premium template is the best for us because everyone has such different sites.
My site is just a simple community directory with a list of categories, then under each category are business and then their basic info. I would also rather just have all the info display right on the Category Listing page instead of having to click each individual listing. (If that makes sense) The free template seems to do that already.

Is cMap probably the best for what I described? (a simple community directory of businesses)

    Thanks so much!

Yes, I would recommend the cMap template. Nearly all info is available without having to click thru to the single-entry detail profile view. Though the bio, notes, and mpa are only displayed after clicking the “Show …” link to expand the content tray. See the sample on the product page:

I hope this helps; please let me know.
