After installing the plugin and seting up our Facebook pixel etc, we couldn’t publish our Facebook shop. We keep getting the message that “our account has been restricted”.

We reached Meta Support and they proposed us, among other things, to “remove the integration we have with WooCommerce“, that is stop using this plugin.

Is it possible that this plugin may have caused our account to be restricted?

    Hi @geonolis ,

    Thanks for reaching out!

I’d like to note that we haven’t heard any similar report previously saying that accounts were restricted because of our plugin. Some of the problems regarding Facebook business accounts are related to insufficient account quality. Facebook checks your account to verify that it is compliant with Facebook terms and policies. If it detects issues your account may be restricted or disabled.

More information and link to the Account Quality review can be found in About Account Quality at the Facebook Business Help Center

Additionally, you can read more about Facebook Ad Standards here.

While we build and maintain this plugin in partnership with Facebook, we do not have any control over their policies regarding their commerce eligibility requirements or their appeal process. As a result, I would recommend that you continue to gather more details about why this account may have been restricted directly from Facebook, as we (at WooCommerce) don’t have access to that information.

    Hope this helps!
