Ouch!

With this theme as standard the “classic” WordPress approach is gone. One used to choose between either using a rarther nice looking default theme and tweak it quite easily and produce a professional looking website or, alternatively, installing a 3rd party theme which required some digging into in order to have the desired result.
Twenty Twenty-Three is not as intuitively customisable as the classic themes. I looks clean and nice out of the box, but customising is a pain.

Conclusion:

• if you like everything about Twenty Twenty-Three and don´t want to customise it: go for it
• if you like a standard theme that can be adjusted to your needs: choose a classic theme
• if neither of the the above applies, browse for a suitable 3rd party theme
