Creating Username and passworf fields

New to wordpress but loving it! Question is I want to create a nice looking login area which works much like the username –password–register area or strip on the wordpress site (nice little login button) is there a plugin or widhet for this. I seem to be able to drop in the meta widget in my theme but it has too much info need a clean solution.
