Parse error: syntax error in functions.php
-
So I downloaded a theme from ThemeForest, and installed it on one server hosted by GoDaddy. I tried to install it on my server hosted by A Small Orange, and when I preview/activate the theme it says:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in /home/cjmox/public_html/wordpress/wp-content/themes/SQUARED3/functions.php on line 233I am running PHP 5.2.13 on a Linux OS server, and have talked with the theme creator. He has no idea why it’s messed up.
Here’s what I’ve tried:
-Re-downloading the theme
-Deleting and uploading the functions.php file againI’m wondering if I’ve done something wrong with my WP install, but other themes seem to be working. I’ve gotten the client to pay for this theme, which is why I’m trying so hard to get it working. The theme works fine on the GoDaddy server.
I need a genius to look at this please.
