    Hello,

There is a critical issue with the button to activate the sending of the article notification email.

Instead of activate the sending immediatly AFTER the publication, it sent an email IMMEDIATLY !!

I had to send an email apologizing and giving them an early access to the article.

I had no idea how to do that, I learned and did that in the hour. I even had to install a plugin to not let the article appear on the site without direct link.

    A real disaster !

Do I understand that I have to activate the mail in the body of the mail editor and not with the button?
I have to let it deactivate until the next article is published. But I am afraid to activate the article notification and that the email be sent immediately, before and not after the article publication…

    Hello there @entrepriseheureuse ,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry you experienced this. Usually when creating a Post Notification, all the posts you see in the editor are going to be sent in the first email.

After you’ve created a Post Notification and the first email has been sent, only newly published posts from that point onwards will be sent.

You can learn more about Post-Notification Emails by clicking here: [FAQ] Post Notifications

As long as the first email has been sent, no new email is sent. So you can re-activate the post notification email and depending on the day/time you’ve set for your notification email to be sent, you can create/publish your posts as you wish.

    I hope this helps.

Of course, feel free to reach out to us if you need further assistance or you have other questions and we’d be happy to help.

    Have a great day!

    Hello,

    Thank you for your answer.

If I understand well, now this unwanted mail has been sent, I can reactivate without worry.

The posts are published at the middle of the month, between tuesday and thursday. But with the setting “immediatly after publishing” it’s ok, right ?

I’m afraid I understood something in the FAQ: after the first email, only the articles that were never sent will be shared?
When a new article is published, I want to send the last 5 articles.

    Hey again @entrepriseheureuse !

You are correct, after setting up the notification email, it will send only the new posts that haven’t been sent before when the email sends on the schedule you setup. No past posts will be sent.

Hopefully that helps! Have a great one!

Ok, thank you for the anwser. This is not at all what I want to do. I want to send the 5 previous articles. Too bad. I have to do it manually.

I close the subject. Thanks again.
