    Hi,

Is there a way to queue BuddyPress notification emails? If not, would it be possible for a queue feature to handle BuddyPress emails to be added? For example, delaying each private message notification email to the receiver until 10 minutes? If a couple of people are in an involved conversation, this results in quick replies and a lot of emails being sent out by BuddyPress. This causes email providers to start throttling these emails quickly. We can only assume that delaying these emails at the sender end would help improve deliverability?

    Thank you!

  • Hey @bclaim!

Thanks for the question. We’re looking into whether this may be possible right now or not. The way our plugin works is to send emails immediately as they are triggered in WordPress, but we’re checking to see if there may be a way to add a delay for your BuddyPress emails. Once we have more information, we’ll get back to you.

    Thanks!

Thanks, David. Really appreciate it! 🙂

    Hi @bclaim,

Thanks for your patience. Currently there isn’t a way that we could this. Our plugin will try to send emails immediately, so queuing isn’t currently possible. I’ve made a note of the feature request and we’ll keep it on our radar as we plan out our roadmap for the future.

I apologize again that we can’t provide what you’re looking for right now, but I appreciate the suggestion! It’s always helpful to get insights from our users.

Could you please let me know if you have any other questions?

    Thanks!

Thank you very much for looking into it. That sounds great!

That will be all for now.

    Thanks again. 🙂
