SimpleX: removing Subscribe: Entries | Comments

    Theme: SimpleX 1.3.3
    Warning: a newbie

    I want to remove the graphic and Subscribe: Entries | Comments. I think this code in the sidebar.php controls it, but I am not sure:
    <li id="rssfeeds">Subscribe: <a href="<?php bloginfo('rss2_url'); ?>">Entries</a> | <a href="<?php bloginfo('comments_rss2_url'); ?>">Comments</a></li>

    I would rather create a child file than modify the parent code that way if the theme is updated I don’t lose my changes.
