    I am needing help with woocommerce checkout page, after clicking the “place order” button i get the error message “We were unable to process your order, please try again”

    I tried to find out in the settings of wordpress, woocommerce,… even tried disabling all plugins except woocommerce AND switching back to Storefront theme but the error still shows up. I tried everything I could find on Google.

    Another thing is, even though the “Place Order” button shows an error, the Order still shows up in my Dashboard with all the information filled, WITHOUT any emails or a success order created screen.

    Please check if my woocommerce site is having problems and how to fix it, thanks

    Solved, although it looked like an extremely annoying and complicated error since I couldn’t find a workaround on the net, it turned out that I just need to install an SMTP plugin to configure the mail function and the problem was solved.

    I won’t delete this thread in the hope that it will help someone with a similar situation. It took me almost 12 hours straight for a very simple problem.
