• I am testing blogging from Word 2007, so we can support users who wish to do so. Everything works fine, and as expected except the plugins that we use that add filters to the_content (eg wordpress-table-of-contents) do not process the posts from Word.

If you open the posts in WordPress & save everything works fine, even if you do not change it, but we want to be able to avoid this.

For information, the site I’m most concerned about here is an MU site, but non-MU sites are affected in exactly the same way.

Are you using the “Paste from Word” toolbar button?

In the visual editor, hit the button on the far right (looks like three horizontal rows of buttons) to display the second toolbar row. Then, click the button with the Word logo, paste the content, and click “insert.”

No, we’re posting direct from Word using XMLRPC. The idea is to enable users to blog from their tool of choice, without having to login to the WordPress interface (which they are expected to be unfamiliar with).
