stylesheet is missing

    I’ve uploaded the zip files of three different new WP themes, and am getting the same error message with each one:

    Stylesheet is missing. Plus: variations on this message:

    Warning: fopen(/home/kathyshaidle/kathyshaidle.net/wp-content/themes/main_files/style.css) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/kathyshaidle/kathyshaidle.net/wp-includes/functions.php on line 4165

    Warning: fread(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /home/kathyshaidle/kathyshaidle.net/wp-includes/functions.php on line 4168

    Warning: fclose(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /home/kathyshaidle/kathyshaidle.net/wp-includes/functions.php on line 4171

    At first I assumed there was something wrong with the zip files but how can three different designers have produced 3 corrupted themes?

    Please tell me what else you need to know to help out. Thanks in advance!!

    Try un-zipping the themes first, then uploading just the directory containing the themes files, and see if the symptom changes. Make sure what you upload looks like this:

    /theme_name/theme_files

    -not this!

    /theme_name/theme_name/theme_files

    Avoid nested folders.
