Hey @erpol53,
When I install Mailpoet 3 to upgrade, instead of importing everything over as I suppose it should, I get the standard “get started” wizard
The automated migration is no longer available in the MailPoet plugin from version 3.95.0 on.
For migrating from MailPoet 2 to MailPoet 3 in current versions of MailPoet, we recommend exporting your subscribers from MailPoet 2 and importing them into MailPoet 3.
Before importing your subscribers, we strongly recommend running your exported list through a List Cleaning Service to ensure all invalid emails are removed.
Alternatively, you can download an older version of the plugin here, run the migration tool and then update the plugin to the latest version.
and a strange display on top of every MP3 admin window
This display doesn’t seem related to our plugin. I’d assume this is coming from another plugin you have installed, and their code/settings are being applied to our admin pages as well. If you want to find out what the faulty plugin is, you can run a conflict test by following these steps: https://kb.mailpoet.com/article/204-how-to-test-for-plugins-conflict

Hi Bruna,
Thank you very much for the quick (and very helpful) response! Thanks to you I discovered the WordPress troubleshooting mode, which is going to be extremely useful to me going forward. It’s not activated by default even if I have WP 6, I had to download the plugin.
I found the culprit for the strange window interaction, it’s the “copy & delete posts” plugin, which I can perfectly well do without. Great catch!
I’ll try the older version and auto-import, I’m walking a bit on eggs here as I don’t want to break anything… My subscriber database is pretty clean (it’s an association with membership), so I’m confident about its relevance.
Thanks again for your help,
RP
PS: I’m following up here, as it seems I’m not quite done: I did download and install the older version (3.94.0), but it doesn’t propose any auto-import of Mailpoet 2 data. Is it hidden in some settings and I couldn’t find it?
Thx

Hi @erpol53,
Great, we’re getting there.
If the migration tool didn’t automatically appear when installing an older version of the plugin, go to MailPoet > Settings > Advanced tab and click the “Reinstall from scratch” button.
I hope it helps!

Ok, I’ll bother you once again: I’m trying to use the Mailpoet email sending system, and of course I need to get the “from” email approved.
This is the email of the association’s president, to which I don’t have immediate access (I’m just the volunteer webmaster!)
I suppose there’s no way of getting around the fact that I need to see this email and click on the approval link, right ?
Thx
