Resume, not restart

    How can I have the play button, after starting play and then pause, resume play instead of restarting from beginning? Seems the pause button is really only a stop button.
    Once the play button is initiated, most players default to pause, then resume when play is pressed again until end of file is reached. Love this simple little player but this causes problems for me. Thank You!

    Try the following shortcode format. Let me know if this helps you.

    Thanks for the response. I was aware of the second player (template1) but I really like just having the play button without the whole progress bar etc. (Many podcast sites like Audible just have a play button, that once clicked, becomes a pause, and maybe a time countdown. Very clean and better for longform. Thank You!

    Hi, I tested the plugin again in my dev site and when I click on the simple play button it becomes a pause button. I can confirm the play button is working as expected for me on my dev site. Can you share a link to your site with the play button? I would like to check it myself.

    Also, make sure there are no conflicts with any of your other plugins.
