    I am having an issue with manually syncing from Square to WooCommerce all of a sudden. It simply will not complete the sync and keeps spinning. I turned on logging and the log file just keeps getting bigger and bigger, eventually creating a second log file. I let the sync keep going until it eventually displays “Sync failed. Please try again” on the sync page.

    It used to work great, now all of a sudden, it won’t work at all.

    No fatal errors, just two large Square log files.

    Just to confirm that you are following the instructions on this support document to manually sync products and inventory?

    If so, can you please share with us a clear screenshot of what you see on your end so that we could address you more effectively?

    Furthermore, I’d like to understand your site properly, can you please share your System Status Report, that will help us further troubleshoot.

    You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select Get system report and then Copy for support. Once you’ve done that, you can paste it into your reply here.

    If you could also provide the fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.

    Yes, I always follow those instructions when I manually sync.

    Here is a screenshot showing the manual sync that failed on December 5, 2022 at 2:28 pm.

    Could you clarify if you are selling online only, or otherwise, please? The reason for asking is that if you are only selling online only, we recommend setting WooCommerce as the System Setting.

    ** DO NOT UPDATE ** was a note to myself not to update the plugin until I figured out what is going on with this issue.

    I see version 3.4.0 was released yesterday. WEIRD.

    I will get 3.4.0 loaded onto a development instance of the site and see if it fixes the manual sync issue.

    I’ve updated to the latest version of WooCommerce as well as the latest version of WooCommerce Square on the development site.

    I tried the manual sync again, with the same “Sync failed. Please try again” error happening after the manual sync ran for about 12 minutes.

    No fatal error logs, just two large square log files.

    Additionally, it reported that the last 4 products that I added on the WooCommerce side weren’t found in Square, which is false, because I confirm the SKUs are indeed in Square.

    I can only paste 512kb of data per paste in Pastebin.

    Each log file is over 5mb each.

    How would you like me to proceed?

    I understand that you are unable to paste the error logs in Pastebin. Can you please paste it on a Notepad instead, upload it to a file sharing solution such as Google Drive or Dropbox and share the link here?

    Going back to your SSR, please update outdated templates on your site by following our guide here: Fixing Outdated WooCommerce Templates.

    Additionally, can you please try to switch to the default Storefront theme and only WooCommerce and WooCommerce Square plugins are enabled and see if this works?

    If so, then this kind of problem is usually caused by your theme or a third-party plugin present on your site. We can run a conflict test to verify this. I’d recommend cloning your site to a staging environment and performing the tests described on this guide without modifying your live site or impacting customers. Many hosts provide staging facilities, so it’s worth checking in with them. It’s also possible to do it using the free WP Staging plugin.

    If this was caused by a third-party plugin present on your site, it would be best to reach out to the developers for further assistance here.

    I’ve installed the Storefront theme and activated it as well as deactivated all plugins except for WooCommerce and WooCommerce Square.

    The same issue is happening. The manual sync fails.

    Hello,

    Thanks for the info.

    Upon checking the logs, it is showing an unknown error at the end.

    I’ve updated to the latest version of WooCommerce as well as the latest version of WooCommerce Square on the development site.

    To clarify, was a conflict test performed as well on the staging site? If not, you can run it.

    Let us know how that goes.

    The staging site has the Storefront theme and activated it. All other plugins have been deactivated except for WooCommerce and WooCommerce Square.

    The conflict test was done on the staging site, which is where the log file came from.
