• I have installed wordpress and have been having some problems with it
    i have solved some of them but when i try to activate different themes that i have installed i get error’s
    i found a theme that i am pleased with and i do not get any errors with it
    but when i try to install different plug-ins i get errors in every single one of them :\
    for example i have installed MemberWing-X plug-in and when i activated it i got this error –

    Notice: Undefined variable: mwx_settings in /home/a3961396/public_html/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/memberwing-x/mwx-dcp.php(8) : eval()’d code(1) : eval()’d code(1) : eval()’d code(1) : eval()’d code(1) : eval()’d code(1) : eval()’d code on line 1

    i am not that great with coding and stuff i know the basics so i can change stuff around in the theme but thats about it
    so if you can help me and explain how i can fix this problem i would be grateful !

    check the readme of the plugin there should be something like:
    Tested up to: 2.8.6

    If that version number isn’t fairly new (3.0 or 3.0.1) then it may be possible that that plugin hasn’t been updated to work with the WordPress version you are using.

    thank you so much, so do you think it would help if i just install an older version of wordpress ?

    no. I’d always suggest you keep to the latest release. Speak to the plugin developer, see if they will be upgrading it, or look around for an alternative.
