Can't edit post

    I started a post last night, saved it and walked away from the computer. I came back this morning and finished up the post. I clicked save post and it only saved what had been saved last night.

    Then I clicked preview and it only showed what I had saved last night. I hit the back button and copied what I had typed this morning and tried to save, pasted it back on again.

    I saved the post again and again it only saved what had been saved last night. I did this several more times and finally gave up and clicked trash because the post is useless to me if I can’t edit it.

    It said that the post was put in the trash, but it wasn’t. It was still there in the post list. I tried putting it int he trash directly from the post menu. Again it said it had been trashed but it was still there. I tried multiple times both ways to trash it but it is still there and every time it tells me that it has been trashed.

    How do I get rid of this post that is haunting me? I just want to get rid of it and start over from the beginning.

    So the same thing happened to me this afternoon with a completely different post.

    I still can put either one of these un-editable posts in the trash.

    I was however able to delete some other saved drafts which I didn’t attempt to edit.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Try decativating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

    If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Default theme (WordPress 2.9) or the Twenty Ten theme (WordPress 3.0) to rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can sometimes interfere with the admin panel).
