    Hello,

    I’m trying to run The Events Calendar but after installation I don’t have the “Add New” option in the tab. I’ve tried disabling and re-enabling it, uninstalling and reinstalling, and uninstalling and manually installing from a zipped file but so far I only have “Tags”, “Settings”, “Help”, “Troubleshooting”, and “Event Add-Ons”. What could I be missing?

    I checked and only found issues like this from 2 years ago so I figured I’d go ahead and write up a new post.

    Any help is greatly appreciated. Please and thank you!

    Hi @erion42,

    Thanks for reaching out.

    There could be a plugin/theme conflict on your end. Could you try running a conflict test? I suggest conducting these tests on a Staging Server.

    If that doesn’t help, could you provide the version of the following?

    1. PHP
    2. WordPress
    3. The Events Calendar
    4. Theme

    Thank you for reminding me! We ran a troubleshooting program that disables literally every plugin and theme except for the Scheduling plugin. We’re still seeing a distinct lack of “add new” in the Events menu.

    PHP v7.4
    WP v6.1.1
    Events Calendar v6.0.4
    Theme is a custom theme based off Genesis 3.3.5 but the theme was disabled when we ran our last test so it’s unlikely to be this

    Hi @erion42,

    Thanks for your response and for providing additional details.

    Could you please try activating only The Events Calendar plugin and a default theme (2020 theme), and check if the issue persists? If so, kindly manually update it once again through FTP and check if that makes a difference.

    If that doesn’t help, may I ask what is your current hosting provider?

    Thank you for getting back to me on that. Sorry I haven’t had a chance to test this out. I just tried installing the 2020 theme and disabled all plugins except the Events Calendar plugin. Still not getting an “Add New” option.

    After installing the 6.0.5 version of the plugin via the SFTP process in the link, I’m still not getting an “Add New” option.

    I still only see:
    View Calendar
    Settings
    Help
    Event Add-Ons
    Troubleshooting

    I checked Troubleshooting already but none of the options seem to relate to my issue.

    Also we’re using WPEngine as a hosting provider.

    Could you try reinstalling WordPress and then installing the plugins? I suspect that WordPress might not be installed properly.
