Disable generating links for post

    Hello

    How can I avoid the wordpress from generating links for posts.
    Say I create a new post named, about.
    Depending on how I set the permalink, it would be something like mysite.com/about/.

    How can I disable that functionality to generate this link? I don’t want it to create a link for a post.

    I don’t think you can. It’s a fundamental part of the way in which WP works.

    In that case, how would you make a certain link go to 404 page?
    I would have to set those post links to 404.
