I recently had to switch the ownership of my Facebook page to a different Facebook Business Manager account.

I am now trying to switch my WooCommerce connection to the new account. I deleted the connection on the original FB Bis Manager account, but still whenever I try to make the new connection, it tells me I need admin access on the original account. I assume there’s still some residual connection information from the WooCommerce side that needs to be deleted to allow a new connection, but I can’t find the way to delete it.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi there,

Just to be sure I understand correctly, you’re trying to connect the Facebook for WooCommerce extension to a new business manager account but it’s showing your previously connected account, correct?

If that’s indeed the case, you can resolve the issue using one of these steps:

    1) Reset the connection with our mini plugin – Download and install the special plugin we’ve developed to help in cases like this. Here are the steps to give it a try:

    – Download the plugin here: https://d.pr/f/rTEhWp
    – After installing/activating the plugin you will see this tool from WooCommerce → Status → Tools: https://d.pr/i/F3tcs2
    – Click reset resettings to completely reset the plugin.

After that, please try the setup again. If that doesn’t help, we’d have to take a more technical approach:

    2) Delete the plugin’s table from your site’s database – using PHPmyadmin or the WP PHPmyAdmin plugin. Here are the steps:

    – Access your site’s database using either of the above method
    – Go to the options table (wp_options) > Search the option_name for %%like%% with a value of wc_facebook

That will show all the options saved for the Facebook for WooCommerce extension, select all and delete. I recorded a video of the steps for you here: https://d.pr/v/kcXL41

Let me know the steps that work for you. Cheers!

Fantastic, that PHPmyAdmin thing did the trick. All good now, many thanks!
