Issues With Installing Themes and Plug-ins

Hey Guys,

Wondering if someone can help me, I have recently installed a new wordpress and having issues when it comes to installing themes and plug-ins. Now I can manually install them using FTP but if I try and click install why searching for plug-ins and themes it will just sit on the downloading part.

I have checked my permissions and they all seem to be fine. Any ideas?

Try deactivating all plugins, then attempt to install the plugin.

This is a fresh install so the only plugin which is activated is the askimet.

I have tried Disabling but has made no difference. Not sure it’s a plugin issue as I also cannot install themes aswel.

I have had a look at this website:

Which seems to be the issue which i am having. but when i go into my wp-settings.php there is no memory limit part.

Any other ideas???

I have had a look round the forums and Internet and so far can’t find a answer.

Am checking with host to see if it could be something on there side. Anyone else use 1&1 and have this issue.

Add this to the top of your .htaccess file:
```
AddType x-mapp-php5 .php
AddHandler x-mapp-php5 .php
```

I had to create the file and then added it in and its all finally working the easy way 🙂

Thank you! I also have 1&1 and have pulling my hair out over this one. That totally fixed it!
