Problem with editor on iphone
-
Hello, the editor is not updated when adding a message from an iPhone. fter pressing the “add message” button, it is added to the chat, but still remains in the editor window (medium-editor.js).
How to solve a problem?

Hi there!
Not sure what can be issue for you. Does it happens also at demo website for you from your iphone?
The demo is running a new version of the plugin. No problem. I have free version 1.9.10.70 installed from wordpress.org
The demo is running 1.9.10.70 as well.
OK. I will check
please tell me how to enable emoji in the mobile version. I managed to adapt the code, now it works on mobile without problems, even on 3G. Enabled ‘mobileEmojiEnable’ => ‘1’ in bp-better-messages.php but it didn’t work. Please help resolve the issue.
And yes, I know about emoji on mobile, but this is not acceptable for all users.
Hi there!
Emojies are too heavy for mobile devices and its becomes performance and UX issue on that devices.
So the only right thing is to use keyboard emojies.
There is no plans at the moment to enable emoji selector for mobile because of multiple issues. Thanks!
I have solved this issue. Can’t figure out how to enable
emoji in the mobile version of the editor. That’s why I ask the developer for help. I will solve it myself, but it will take a lot of time. Keep a piece of my life, please)Hi there!
Sorry, Im not sure what did you solved.
If you cant enable it on mobile device, how could you test if it works well? π
Also the other point is in Better Messages 2.0 is using absolutely new emoji selector (its disabled in mobile as well due to multiple issues), so it does not makes sense to modify current one.
Thanks!

Removed rarely used emoticons, my joypixels.min.js file weighs 40KB. Also removed extra code from bp-messages-free.js, emojies.php, etc + minified cssYes, I know that file a abit heavy, but that is not real problem, if they are gzipped and use at least light browser caching (which uses almost every browser and hosting environment), if we are talking about size of file.
But it not solves emoji selector UX issue on mobile in any way, its not adapted to touch devices, it causes horrible UX experience.
Also in 2.0 joypixels.js removed completely.
Now I have one window with a set of popular emoticons. Minimalist and comfortable. Configured through Google Chrome developer tools.
Also in 2.0 joypixels.js removed completely.
I looked at the scripts on demo 2.0, this is clearly a more rational solution. But as you wrote, it is not known when the free version will be released. It is sad.
The problem is with the editor. Did a clean install of WordPress 6.0.3 with the default theme. Plugin 1.9.10.70 free. ios 15.7.1
Textbox not clears when clicks the submit button!
Does it not clears also at wordplus.org?
Probably that is result of scripts modifications which you did?
Clean install. Plugin without modifications on my part.
There are no problems on wordplus.org, but a paid version (WebSocket) is installed there.Clearly something at your side, I tested also free version from iphone and have no any issue as any other user.
