Hi, I love your plugin. But I have a problem with “Detect Browser Language” function. It does not work with full page caching on server. Cloudways is introducing it soon, 10WebBooster, and I am now with Rocket.net and currently have the issue there.

I just got this message from CEO of Rocket.net Ben Gabler who was very nice and helped me there:

“It sounds like polylang is relying on server-side PHP to determine which language to display:

    https://polylang.pro/doc/detect-the-browser-preferred-language/

It maybe best to contact polylang directly and see if they have a solution for this as full page caching is very popular.”

I can’t and don’t want to replace your plugin with another language plugin, as it is the only one that offers the functionality I need. It is fantastic.

But what can I do to make it work with full page caching?

Many Thansk. Have a nice day. Best regards Neo

    Hello,

I confirm that the option “Detect Browser Language” is not compatible with cache. This is the only option not working with the cache. So you can just disable this option, and you should have no problem.

The option is indeed not compatible with cache because the feature is coded in PHP. Note that it’s not rare that features can’t work with cache, for example an account page or a cart page on a WooCommerce site.
