• I have to advise against this plugin.

I installed this plugin and it completely obliterated my site. I don’t mean to be dramatic, but it was pretty apocalyptic as far as the site goes. Entire pages gone, some overwritten, garbage content injected into others. Disabling the plugin was worse. There was nothing on the developers site about this, so I spent most of yesterday googling how to fix it and it was all pretty intense. I emailed the plugin developer to see if they could at least point me in the right direction to recover from this. They offer no support for the “Core” product. They said to look at their “vast” FAQs (which was my first stop), Facebook, or YouTube. The only way to get support from them is to pay for the Pro version.

Long story short, its actually going to be faster for me to go back to a backup of last week and redo it all. Luckily my site is still in development, but still, I lost a weeks worth of work.

Those are the facts, take away from that what you will.

My opinion: Can you imagine if you installed Angry Birds and it bricked your iPhone and then Rovio told you to pound sand or fork over some cash? Luckily, Apple has an app review team. I wish WP had one too; if they do, how did this get through then since I’ve seen other reviews where others had this… exact… same… problem… I know, shame on me for not checking the reviews first and not having a more recent backup. Lesson Learned.
