Switching from a subdomain to subdirectory via a redirect??
-
My blog (and all files) is currently located at http://continuingeducationjournal.com
This blog 301 redirects to http://blog.internetce.com
I am attempting to move the blog to http://internetce.com/blog
I am following this guide http://www.seomoz.org/blog/seo-guide-how-to-properly-move-domains to insure I keep all of my seo juice, however in testing I have yet to make the move.
First I thought I could simply create the directory and 301 my blog there..no dice..I get a 404 error. When i first redirected my blog from http://continuingeducationjournal.com to http://blog.internetce.com all I did was create the subdomain and then 301’d my blog to it.
Then I tried to install WP with the wp-config pointing back to the original DB files – instead of ‘localhost’–> http://continuingeducationjournal.com still no dice..
Can someone point me in the right direction?
The goal = Ability to view blog at http://internetce.com/blog, whereas no instance of a blog currently exists there and all of my data is currently located at http://continuingeducationjournal.com. All links will need to redirect.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
