    Hello,

Today I was trying to add a google maps widget to the site and when I tried to add the Google API key I got the error from wordfence that this is a potentially unsafe action, and that I should contact the admin. I am the admin of the site.

So, I searched the option to add or whitelist my IP or the action, but I could not find something or everything that I tried did not work.

Let me know, how I can achieve this.

    Best Regards

Hi @stevendigital, thanks for reaching out.

If you’re the admin, any unsafe action pages such as this should present you with a button to allow the action in future. Failing this, you could enable Learning Mode and try adding the API key again.

From the Wordfence Dashboard click on Manage WAF. Then you will see Basic Firewall Options > Web Application Firewall Status. Change the option to Learning Mode. Now perform the actions that were causing issues. This will help Wordfence learn that these actions are normal and it will allow them in the future. After you have finished performing the actions, switch the WAF from Learning Mode back to Enabled and Protecting. Now test to see if these actions work correctly.

    Thanks,

    Peter.
