We recommend checking the spam score of your site by clicking here.
This will redirect you to the spam checker’s website, where you can copy the email address from the box, paste it into your test email feature in the plugin, and send the test email.
The spam score will then be displayed on the website (scroll down you will find).
Please share that report with us on our support channel. That would help us in further debugging the issue.

I guess I’m just confused as to why the emails are not listed as unauthenticated when I send an individual email from the email address, but they are listed as unauthenticated if I send an email via the plugin.

Could you please let me know which mailer you use for sending emails? We recommend you contact your hosting provider if you’re using WP mail, which is a host mailer, so they can help you better.
Whereas referring to spam score reports, DMK records are missing on your site. Share this report with your host and ask them to improve it on your end.
Doing so will resolve your concern regarding unauthenticated emails mark.

Just to clarify – If my host is Bluehost, they should be able to help me with WP Mail?

Yes! Most of the hosting providers provide some basic email-sending services.
