renaming subdirectories?

    I’ve currently got a few pages that are children of my home page and the directory to get to them is http://www.pagename.com/home-2/imapage. While this is alright, it’s a little less than desirable for simple url names. Is there a way to still have the page listed with the “home” parent but without a/a different directory?

    e.g. http://www.pagename.com/home/imapage or just http://www.pagename.com/imapage.

    If not, then my second question is, if I place the page as a stand alone (no parent) it get’s thrown into the nav bar which I don’t want. Is there a way to determine which pages are listed in nav and which aren’t?

    Excluding pages from the “nav bar” is generally easy but it is also generally theme dependent.

    A link to your site and your current theme would be helpful in making suggestions on how to exclude these pages.
