home page problems

    Hi,

    I am probably being totally dull here but I am building this site. All is going well other than my index.php page is not styled the same as my other pages. If i create another home page I then get two identical links to ‘home’ on the navigation bar.

    I assumed that the index or main home page sits outside the flow of my other pages so I have tried to style index.php but cannot get it looking the same. (I am not a coder).

    Am I missing something really simple here? Any help gratefully recieved!

    In most themes, the page created by the default index.php file is exactly the same style as the other pages – it is not ‘outside the flow’ of the other pages.

    You should not need to create a second index or main home page to show the same style.

    What happens when you use the unmodified index.php from the original theme?
