Hi @maxidavis, all of our plugins and add-ons have been translated into many languages, however, there are instances there are sections that are not translated. For this one, I’d recommend you try out a third-party plugin, Loco Translate. https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/k/managing-translations-with-loco-translate/
This would translate and you could customize the translation further for your website.

I already took a look at the language files with poedit. The sections seem to be translated but don’t have an effect…
Loco translate wouldn’t make a difference, or?
Is there a way to select the language file or does the system recognize which to choose?
MaxHi @maxidavis, it would be much easier with Loco Translate as you will be able to select the plugin and the language and it would be preserved regardless the plugin would have updates. https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/k/managing-translations-with-loco-translate/

AbzHi @maxidavis, thanks for getting back to me here. I was able to translate it on my end. Using Loco and editing it manually. Could you try switching to the default theme and see if that translates the strings? I suspect that it might be the theme that is causing some issues. Just to check and testing for conflicts with this one.

Could you also make sure that you have clicked on the sync to make sure that the latest translations appear on your end? It would be good if you could also check and test with other themes.

Hi @maxidavis, that’s weird. Could you try a fresh install on a staging site and try it out? I wonder if your previous edit with the translation file somehow removed the “Month” view or if it is not detected/captured for some reason.

AbzHi @abzlevelup, I did a complete fresh new install on a different website. With the same result. “Month” is not showing up at all. There is only “month”. hmm

With our latest release of The Events Calendar 6.0.4, we resolved multiple issues with translations. Please be sure to review our full Release Notes for more details and update your plugin whenever you get a chance.
As always, we suggest testing updates on a staging site first and having a recent backup, but it should all be smooth sailing. If you implemented any workarounds, you can remove them after updating the plugins.
If you still have issues after updating to the latest releases, please open a new support thread and include any specific details and screenshots if possible.
