How to display the attributes of simple and variable products in a single column

I have many products (simple products) with the definitive “pages” attribute, … but I also have some products (variable products) with customizable number of pages.

If a customer orders both types of products, I would like to display the single “pages” attribute in a column, but I can’t. If I choose the column “product variation” it shows me only the variations of the variations, while if I choose “pages attribute” it shows me all the possible attributes instead of the attribute sold.
