categories that don’t exist

    Dear WC fellow users,

    I noticed that there are categories in my woocommerce store that have not been created. An example is; [ redundant link removed ]

    These non-existing categories do not appear in ‘Dashboard –> Products –> Categories’.
    How is this possible? Is there any way to find out how these were created?

    I noticed that there are categories in my woocommerce store that have not been created. An example is; [ redundant link removed ]

    Can you please clarify which category you mean here? Is it Bikini Dames that you have not created?

    What do you see in Dashboard –> Products –> Categories VS the categories that appear? Can you give us a breakdown?

    Some themes have the capability of adding a category. Is it perhaps through your theme that some categories were added? Can you temporarily switch to a WooCommerce compliant theme like Storefront and let us know if these categories stop displaying?

    Can you please send us your System Status Report so that we have a better idea of your environment?

    You can get it by navigating to the WooCommerce > Status section of your site. Once there, click on the Get system report button and then copy it by clicking on the Copy for support button. Then paste it in your reply.

    Thanks for clarifying that.

    I understand you have the bikini-dames product category on your site frontend but this category is not present under Products > Categories. Can you filter by slug alphabetically and show us a screenshot of your product categories page?

    I recommend https://snipboard.io for easily sharing screenshots – please follow the instructions on that page, then paste the URL in this thread.

    About “ghost” categories see if the suggestions on the below thread help you.

    Copy for support button I dont have

    You don’t see this button, right? That’s strange – can you try changing browser or using incognito/private browsing mode?

    Alternatively, 1) manually select all (CTRL + A) – 2) copy the content (CTRL + C) and – 3)paste it on this thread (CTRL + V).

    This problem is maybe due to a conflicting theme or third-party plugin present on your site. Can you please try to perform a full conflict test and see if that works?
