Unable to Auto Update the WordPress Version

    My site is using WordPress Version 5.4.2 but it’s saying that it’s using the latest version of the WP which is not true, and now I’m not getting the Update Option on my Dashboard neither it is auto-updating to the newer versions anymore.

    make sure you do not have plugin that disable auto update. also check wp-config.php file make sure there is not a line like:

    define( 'WP_AUTO_UPDATE_CORE', false );
