Scheduling issue

    My backup schedule is:

    files – weekly, retain 4
    database – daily, retain 8

    Updraft Plus is working well, and storing backups on DropBox.

    However, it often makes 3 or 4 backups of the database on the same day, such as:

    Aug 03, 2022 14:07 (DB & files)
    Aug 03, 2022 14:11 (DB only)
    Aug 03, 2022 14:28 (DB only)
    Aug 03, 2022 14:45 (DB only)

    How can I fix this?

    Hi,

    Please could you send us the backup log for those dates?
    This can be found in the UpdraftPlus Existing Backups tab.
    The contents will be too long to post here directly, but you can use an online service such as Dropbox or Pastebin, and post the link here.

    Hi,

    It looks like your WordPress scheduler may be broken.
    To confirm this, can you install a plugin called WP-Crontrol? This will allow you to see all scheduled tasks that WordPress is handling.
    Then could you navigate to Tools->Cron Events. You’ll then be able to work out if the scheduler is working correctly.
