Form Notification Email
-
I created a form with Gutenverse Form Builder, modified the form in the Forms tab and enabled the Notifications to receive a message when an entry is submitted but I do not get any emails ever. I do see the entries under Form/Entries but no email.
Is there anything I’m missing?

I have the same problem. I put the form template from Guterberg template and then tried to set up the Gutenverse>> setting >> form (only option after pressing setting) put admin administration button and put the info for email inside.
Also click on ” Form ” on dashboard tab and put ” Form action ” for those emails setting. But my contact form still not sending any email. But I can only see in the Entries.Do you already setup the SMTP(Simple Mail Transfer Protocol)?
I have the same problem. All configured and SMTP. There are in entries under Form/Entries but no email
We’ve tried to replicate this on our side, but didn’t encounter any issue.
Regarding form settings :
For Confirmation email to user, please make sure the setting for email’s input name is correct. Please refer to these image for the setting setting :
input name inside editor : https://prnt.sc/25Kn2ZjksR5h
input name for confirmation : https://prnt.sc/jxqZIZJGlByVFor Admin notification, please make sure your SMTP setup is correct and running.
(The SMTP setup is also required for confirmation email to user.)Hi,
I’m having problems to send messages using the contact form on mobile devices.
Can you give me an idea why this is happening?
ThanksHi @carlopantaleo ,
Do you have a live site we could check?
If not, could you send us your form settings?Thank you.
Hello,
thank you for answering.
Let’s say I fixed the problem and now I sent another request, as I get the message “WARNING: Email confirmation is on, but you’re not logged in.” despite not having activated the “Require login” function. You can see the problem here: https://www.balbocostruzioni.it/contatti/Any suggestions?
Thank you!Hi @carlopantaleo ,
We notice you’ve already made a topic regarding this issue.
For future discussion regarding this issue, we will do it on that topic.Thank you.
Hi jegstudio,
I’m having the same issue. My website is at https://elysmuda.com/fycc/contact/reach/
Not sure how to properly set up SMTP. I installed WP Mail SMTP plugin. But I’m not certain that’s the correct way.
Would appreciate if you can help!
Thank you,
ElysHi @elys ,
You can contact the plugin author if your SMTP is already properly setup or not.
If it is already properly setup and still doesn’t work, could you send us your form settings?Thank you.
Hello jegstudio,
I did a email test send from the Plugin (WP Mail SMTP) and the email did come in.
Or is there any other SMTP plugin you’d recommend that would work withAnd as for the form setting, I set the “Use Input’s Name” and the “Email’s Sender” to the email it’s supposed to forward the email to.
When I tried the sending the message from the form. I see the messages show up in Entries but I’m not getting the email.
Any thoughts?
Thank you!
ElysElys
Hi @elys ,
Try changing your email’s input name (in the editor and form setting) to something like ‘user-email’ or ‘useremail’, don’t use your email as input name.
And “Email’s Sender” is set to email you use in the SMTP, correct?
Let us know about the result.Thank you.
Hi Jegstudio,
Thanks for the quick response.
I tried that and it still doesn’t work. What should my setting be in the “Notification” tab for “Email’s Recipient” and “Email’s Sender”?
Also, another thing that doesn’t seem to work is the “Success Notice on Submit” in the “General” tab. The success notice doesn’t show on the site.
Elys
Hi @elys ,
“Email’s Recipient” is the one who will receive the email and “Email’s Sender” is the one sending email (the one you setup in SMTP).
If we may know, what email service you use? Gmail, self hosted, or other? The success notice probably didn’t show because the form is set to “hide after submit”. We will take a look into this.
