I have a WordPress site with Premium Wordfence. At some point a few years ago, I turned on 2-factor authentication, but I can’t stand the unusually kludgy login process. I want to turn it off.

The documentation I’ve found online (https://www.wordfence.com/help/tools/two-factor-authentication/) doesn’t apply. Nothing works. The documentation says:

Step 1: “Log in to your site and go to the “Login Security” page.”
The “Login Security” page does NOT exist in my WordPress dashboard. What’s the URL, or how can I find it?

It also says you can (alternately) do this:
“Go to the WordPress “Users” page.
Hover over the user’s record and click the “2FA” link below their username.”

Nope! Nothing happens when I hover over my username.

So both methods listed above don’t work. I really despise the hassle of the 2FA login with WordPress/Wordfence and it makes me not want to log into my site. Please help.

    Thanks.

    Hi @cary_sf,

As you’re a Premium Wordfence Customer, I recommend opening a support ticket at https://support.wordfence.com as we can only discuss the free version of the plugin here at the forums, and you’re entitled to this additional support channel with your license.

You can also access premium support via the Help menu item in the plugin, Help link on the plugin’s Dashboard page, on our documentation homepage or via the HELP link in the footer of all wordfence.com pages.

Just in case you posted here because you can’t access premium support, please send an email to lockout @ wordfence . com and provide the email address or username that is associated with the account so that we can get you signed in ASAP!

    Peter.
