    Hello!

    For the third day now, I can’t figure out how to connect Apple Pay to the site.
    I did everything according to the instructions – installed the plugin, connected to Stripe, went to the tab Apple Pay in the settings, clicked on Register Domain (came confirmation that the domain is registered), checked that the domain confirmation file is sending by the server as plain/text, in the Stripe panel domain with and without www is in the list.
    Tried several times to disable / connect stripe and register the domain. Tried switching test / live environments. Button is only visible in incognito mode (not regular) from different devices with wallet card connected. No errors in the console.

    Stripe account id: acct_1DilUgEqGOXz8Fj6

    On server side we have Apache 2.4.51

    I’ve tried to switch to default theme – still get this problem.

    Hi @twofed,

    Than link is going to what appears to be a heavily customized checkout page. None of the payment buttons at the top of your checkout page are being rendered or controlled by this Stripe plugin.

    For example, your GPay button is being rendered using custom html not related to our plugin.

    Can you elaborate on what plugin or functionality is rendering your payment buttons at the top of the page? Your checkout page is very customized so you’d need whoever developed this to render the Apple Pay html which isn’t even on your checkout page.

    Kind Regards,

    Thank you for your reply!

    This page is built entirely from the original woocommerce template – all code (without changes) is in the block with the hidden class, all the original hooks and js unchanged – only new block before original code. I can switch to the Twenty Twenty theme, but there will be no difference.

    If the html is hidden, why would you expect Apple Pay to be visible? I see in your html where the container for the standard html is hidden. The Apple Pay button is inside that hidden html so naturally it won’t be visible.

    Please enable the default theme and I will review your page.

    I’ve enabled default theme – there is no Apple Pay button for me 🙁

    @twofed I can see Apple Pay on your checkout page and it’s working perfectly. Per the plug-in documentation you must have a valid payment method saved in the Apple wallet of your iOS device and you must be using the Safari browser.

    Yes, I have a card in my wallet, which I can use in private mode of Safari in both themes. But I can’t see Apple Pay button in my and in original Twenty Twenty theme.
    As far as I understand, you don’t have the Apple Pay button in my theme, but can see it in Twenty Twenty?

    Yes, that’s correct. Your theme is rendering completely custom payment buttons at the top of the page. I am pretty sure they are backed by your theme’s own custom Javascript as well because those buttons aren’t using ID’s or selectors that our plugin could even use. It appears to be an entirely separate integration. Is this a theme you bought or had developed?

    I am happy to provide you with a screenshot showing Apple Pay working on the Twenty Twenty theme if you like.

    Yes, this theme was creates by me.
    I can’t figure out the logic why I don’t see Apple Pay button – my custom button use next logic:

    if (! $(".banner_payment_method_stripe_googlepay").hasClass("active")) {
        $("#pay_google").remove();
    }

    if (! $(".banner_payment_method_stripe_applepay").hasClass("active")) {
        $("#pay_apple").remove();
    }

    There is no button in .banner_payment_method_stripe_applepay

    The strangest thing there is that I can see the button in the private safari, but I can’t see it in the regular tab.

    There is a difference between regular and private tabs in this request – https://postimg.cc/kRyWVgqL

    There is a difference between regular and private tabs in this request –

    Apple Pay always shows in private browsers.

    I see Apple Pay visible on your custom theme (using non-incognito) so the issue with the button showing is related to your Apple Wallet. It’s determining that you’re not eligible for Apple Pay.

    If your payment method doesn’t support the store currency then that’s a reason Apple Pay won’t show.

    Unbelievable! And if you click on it – there is an apple payment dialog?

    But still do not understand one thing – why do you have this button in my theme, and I do not have it in this theme, but it is in original Twenty Twenty theme.

    Yes

    why do you have this button in my theme, and I do not have it in this theme, but it is in original Twenty Twenty theme.

    That might have something to do with your theme and the code you have written for it.

    The code you wrote for checking if the buttons are active is not reliable because it’s not guaranteed that the asynchronous process of setting up Apple Pay and GPay will be finished by the time you make those checks. So you’re probably encountering a timing issue.

    I’ve renamed the woocommerce folder in my theme folder and removed all js from code, but still don’t see Apple Pay button in almost base page template.
    I have no idea where this problem can arise, no errors in the console or on the server does not get.
