• Hey all,

This will be my very first ever post on these forums.

So, I’m not a big fan of WordPress because I consistently find it really frustrating to work with. However, as of late, I’ve decided to just buckle down and learn it for the sake of getting a good deal for a year of hosting including mail from Siteground.

Now, here is my issue, I’m using Ultimate Members and it’s WooCommerce addon to handle registrations (whatever the most recent versions from the Auto-Installer is) but I’m having a strange issue where the browser seems to think it’s stuck in an infinite redirect, but it’s not?

When you login, it’s supposed to just redirect you back to the homepage. But it doesn’t for some reason. You login, it sets your URL to the redirect link (https://pixelatedstudios.net/my-account/vetheon/?redirect_to=https://pixelatedstudios.net/) but the browser returns a Too Many Redirects error.

If you pop this link into a loop checker, (I used two, https://www.redirect-checker.org/ and https://httpstatus.io/) it doesn’t say that there is any redirect loop. It says that there is a slow 302 Temp Redirect but not a loop.

I’ve been reading in places that this might be caused by two plugins that both do redirects causing conflicts with one another. So my first course of action was to disable my SEO plugins, and try again, but it didn’t fix anything.

My next course of action is to just go through and disable every plugin I have other than Ultimate Member, the UM WooCommerce Addon, and WooCommerce itself. However, I am also using many css styling plugins, plugins that add functions to the Gutenberg Editor, and many other plugins that add to pages, JS, CSS, and a lot else.

I’m actually pretty worried that performing what I would normally take as the next troubleshooting step will end up further, potentially irreparably, breaking the site.

I know that common sense says to just take a backup. Though I still don’t want to create a whole bunch of extra work for myself as the hours are billable.

So, does anyone have any ideas on what is going on or perhaps a way for me to further diagnose this without having to take a backup, then remove every plugin I have, and pray to the WP gods nothing breaks?

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

    EDIT

I should let you know, for some reason it appears to stick the user into a constant state of being redirected to the homepage and getting this error upon login. You have to wipe your cookies and cache when it happens in order to get the site to function for you again.
